Our Journey
A Foundation in Tradition
Our founder’s journey began 15 years ago as a college student, kindled by a deep love for handloom and handcrafted fabrics. Growing up surrounded by premium textiles and with family roots in Lucknow, she was inspired early on by the region’s rich craft heritage. Frequent visits to Lucknow led her to discover Chikankari embroidery — she fell in love with its delicate artistry instantly. That spark grew into a mission to create textiles that touch the soul, layer by layer.
Crafting Kosha
Driven by that passion, she spent years researching fabrics, markets, and artisan techniques. She apprenticed with kaarigars and suppliers, determined to learn every thread of the craft. Slowly, she assembled a team of skilled artisans who shared her dedication to fine craftsmanship. She officially launched Koshaa Design in 2019 with an inaugural Chikankari collection that celebrated the tradition of Lucknow embroidery.
Showcasing Our Craft
Koshaa soon began sharing its creations with the world. In just a few years, we have showcased our collections at over 200 exhibitions across India and beyond. We took our designs to major cities and cultural hubs, from Delhi and Mumbai to Jaipur, Jodhpur, Hyderabad, Indore, Ahmedabad, and Goa — and even Dubai, UAE.
Our first exhibitions in Goa and Jodhpur, for example, introduced our Chikankari collection to eager crowds and drew enthusiastic appreciation.

Encouraged by the enthusiastic response at these events, we knew it was time to reach even more people. We expanded Koshaa’s presence online, bringing our handcrafted fabrics directly into customers’ wardrobes far and wide. For Koshaa, every enthusiastic reaction has been motivation to grow even further. This new chapter meant Koshaa’s story could reach anyone, anywhere, ensuring our traditional artistry finds its way into homes around the country and even the world.

This bold choice helped our designs stand out on the shelf and quickly won hearts. Building on this momentum, Koshaa has since diversified into multiple collections, bringing more variety and style to our customers’ wardrobes. Through it all, we remain dedicated to promoting Indian craftsmanship and supporting the talented artisans behind every stitch.
